L\u2019engagement peut \u00eatre physique, \u00e9motionnel ou cognitif. L\u2019engagement physique se mesure \u00e0 l\u2019effort qu\u2019un travailleur d\u00e9ploie dans son travail. Un travailleur engag\u00e9 physiquement voit son travail comme une source d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Un travailleur engag\u00e9 \u00e9motionnellement a une vision positive du travail et il est passionn\u00e9 ce qu\u2019il fait. Un travailleur engag\u00e9 cognitivement accorde beaucoup d\u2019attention \u00e0 son travail et est absorb\u00e9 par ce qu\u2019il fait. Peu importe la source d\u2019engagement, les travailleurs engag\u00e9s se sentent proches de leur travail lorsqu\u2019ils peuvent se reconna\u00eetre dans la vision et la r\u00e9ussite de leur organisme et y participer pleinement.<\/p>\n<p>Il convient de voir l\u2019engagement comme le r\u00e9sultat de politiques, de pratiques et de proc\u00e9dures visant la protection de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 psychologiques du travailleur. Les recherches indiquent que le rendement pour les actionnaires d\u2019une entreprise ayant une main-d\u2019\u0153uvre engag\u00e9e pourrait \u00eatre deux fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que celui d\u2019une entreprise moyenne. Il est d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l\u2019engagement des travailleurs augmente la satisfaction des clients, am\u00e9liore l\u2019ex\u00e9cution des t\u00e2ches, et renforce le moral et la motivation.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, disengaged workers create significant costs, mostly due to loss of productivity. In addition, disengaged workers can lead to greater economic impact from psychological and medical effects and related costs.
