There are many types of leadership, each affects psychological safety and health differently. The most widely accepted categories of leadership are instrumental, transactional and transformational. Of these, transformational leadership is considered the most impactful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instrumental leadership<\/strong> focuses primarily on producing outcomes, paying little attention to the big picture, including the organization\u2019s psychosocial dynamics and, unfortunately, their individual workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transactional leadership<\/strong> focuses on results, conforms to the existing structure of an organization and measures success according to that organization\u2019s system of rewards and penalties. Transactional leaders have formal authority and positions of responsibility in an organization. This type of leader is responsible for maintaining routine by managing individual performance and facilitating group performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transformational leaders<\/strong> motivate others to do more than what is expected. They are concerned with long-term objectives and inspire a sense of mission, vision and purpose. Un leadership efficace am\u00e9liore le moral, la r\u00e9silience et la confiance, et diminue la frustration et les conflits. Un contexte de leadership \u00e9clair\u00e9 donne lieu \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration du bien-\u00eatre et \u00e0 une diminution des cong\u00e9s de maladie et des d\u00e9parts \u00e0 la retraite anticip\u00e9s avec pension d\u2019invalidit\u00e9. Un leader qui pr\u00e9serve sa propre sant\u00e9 physique et psychologique peut avoir une influence sur la sant\u00e9 des membres de son \u00e9quipe, ce qui se traduit par une diminution des taux de maladie, d\u2019absent\u00e9isme et de pr\u00e9sent\u00e9isme.
